I’ve been in Sri Lanka a little over a week now. We are staying here for a month and then flying off to Vietnam. The rest of the travel plans are still unsure. We don’t have a return ticket back to Estonia yet, so we are not 100% sure, how long we are travelling in Asia and what other countries are we visiting. But it’s probably around 5 months.

I wanted to share with you what I took with. I’ve really learned to pack less with the last couple of years. I so used to be the girl, who didn’t even consider travelling without a suitcase, but I guess I’ve had some good influence by @markusmarks.

So for this trip I took my 26l backpack. That’s not a lot, but it’s so easy to carry around and move from one place to another. Here’s everything that I packed:

4 tops
3 t-shirts
2 dress
2 flowy jackets
3 long-sleeve shirts
2 pair of shorts
1 pair of trousers
1 jumpsuit

1 sports bra
1 sport shirt
1 pair of sport shorts

1 swimsuit
1 pair of bikinis

1 PJs
5 pair of socks
5 pair of underwear
2 bras

A packing hack I discovered before this trip: VACUUM BAGS.

1 pair of Birkenstock sandals (lived in these in Bali)
1 pair of (running) sneakers

1 pair of sunglasses
1 head scarf
1 cap
1 little box of jewelry

tote bag
small backpack
sarong (good for going to the temples and the beach)
bag of make up
bag of toiletries
bag of medical stuff
notebook and pencil
laptop (+ charger)
phone (+ charger)
water bottle
metal straw
sleeping mask + earplugs (for flying)

All together it’s 36 items of clothing, 2 pairs of shoes, some accessories and some other stuff. It’s around 7 kg, so fits exactly into the hand luggage measures.

Hope this inspires some of you to take pack less stuff as well!
